House Updates

Confirmed. I'm the most flightiest person ever. Please look at the picture below.

Yes, the paint chip says OREGON TRAIL.

Yes.. this is the paint chip I found in my purse where I so organizationally put all the other paint chips of the colors we choose for our house. So if we ran out, I'd know exactly what color we needed to give to Mr. Menards paint dude.

I'm ratting myself out.

I CHOSE the "pukiest color like the-first-time-a-babies-tried-carrots-poopy kinda yellow" color... it's the brown for the bathroom. Just needed to stir it up.. duh.

You all know now.. I REALLY am that flighty. It's not a facade... it's true. It's me. I inherited it from my mother. Therefore.. I am proud of the flightness.

Okay, so now with the rest of the progress of the house. =) Here is Darin Jay putting up our cabinets!! Yipee!! And yes, I was a busy bee this weekend and got the painting finished in the living and kitchen. =) So exciting.

The cabinet doors and fronts are made out of cherry. He used that white covered wood board stuff for the shelves and the structure of the cabinets. When they are finished, you won't be able to see the white boards at all. =) The white boards were MUY, MUY cheaper than making them out of solid cherry. So yeah, price break that's allowing us to have cherry fronted cabinets!!

The green matches our couches and then there is red, green and yellow in the couch pillows. Tying it all in...

Here's our living room. I painted the window trim as well. We will be replacing the windows in the spring along with the siding and roof. First things first.. get the INSIDE liveable. =) The now windows are painted white until they get replaced.

Yes, rather funny that the TV has a budweiser commercial on it.

And wholy cow...

The floor is getting put down!! I am in love with our floor. Cherry. So pretty. This flooring will be in the dining and kitchen... everything else will have carpet. Well, cept the bathroom. Tile.

So yep, those are the updates for this weekend!! It's coming along.. that's for sure!! Still not sure if we'll be moving in in 2 weeks. We don't have a bathroom yet. Or running water for that matter. =)

That's a really wise thing to do with the cabinets, would never have thought of that while I was helping my dad with his cabinets. Thanks for the tip, you shall be called Darcy Handmaker. HA!!!
