2 rooms down...
4 more to go

Heck yeah!! We have the living room and our bedroom set up! Um, er that only leaves 4 more rooms to finish. The kitchen, bath, nursery and dining room. But our goal is to move in on Saturday! Darin will have the kitchen and bathroom all plummed up and ready for us to live in. I'll share some pics with ya..

Please ignore the dust on my camera lens. =/ Here's our living room. Decided to go with red curtains (with a little coaxing from my sister). I'm glad I did, now. Seeing them up really brings the room together. The couch pillows (not shown) have some red in them and all our kitchen towels and accessories in the attached kitchen are also red. I would have shown you a picture of the kitchen but Darin's gluing down the counter top tiles and it's really not a pretty site yet. =)

Oh, and the window shades? Totally free. We live by a huge lake and my dad is an electrician... he was turning off the power at a lake house that they were leveling to the ground to build a new house on top of it. (Yeah, they purchased the land and the house for 1.5 million dollars.. only to level the existing house to the ground... now that is just sick) BUT the tear-er downers let us take whatever we wanted from the house. These window coverings included. We were able to get 15 feet of sliding glass doors, a couple of big gorgeous windows, window treatements for every window in our house and the coolest rought iron screen door.

For free.

Living by a huge-lake-filled-with-rich-lakers-that-like-to-tear-down-their-homes-only-to-build-bigger-and-better-ones-to-vacation-in-for-one-week-a-year rocks. =)

And here's the bedroom.. 4 COATS OF RED PAINT bedroom... nope, not bitter at all...

I even put up some pictures!

As we said, we're hoping to move in on Saturday. This is the first time that Darin's given me an actual day that he thinks we'll move in. Oh, and it also depends on when our new furnace gets in. Yeah, had to bite the bullet and buy a new furnace. Grown up things are so un-fun to buy. =/ Guess you need heat, though! Last night I worked with long johns under my clothes. And I wore gloves. And my jacket. Darin saw his breathe Sunday. INSIDE our house. Not good.

Okay, and I'm slighly obsessed with how cute my nephew is. Here's another picture of him in his new IU duds. Yes, I went to Purdue but my family is die hard IU basketball fans.

Um, don't tell my PU friends that I really think my nephew looks cute in his IU outfit... HOW CAN YOU RESIST???
