but my girls are doing impersonations and dressing up and I don't even realize it!
Saturday night we had a family date night. We have a DVD player in the van with HILARIOUS humongo 80's wireless headphones so that Darin and I can listen to music while the little ladies listen to Hermie & Friends. Joya likes to hear from hers and look through hers.. Here's her Dr. Spock impersonation...
Funny girl.
And the Tuesday night of Thanksgiving week is our traditional Wawasee/Fairfield basketball game. We ALWAYS attend because I was a Wawasee grad and coached there for 5 years and Darin graduated from, coaches and teaches at Fairfield. We've gone together for the last 6 years... dating the first year and married the 5 years after. =)
We had Natalie and the kids and my dad over before the game for lasagna and Adie comes running out of her room with a baseball cap cocked to one side on her head. Natalie makes the comment, "Ghetto Adie in the house" or something of the sort.
Then Darin makes the comment that even without the baseball cap she does look rather hoodrat-ish.
We take off her baseball cap and put on her sock hat and go to the game.
With her matchy-match vulour Chaps sweat-suit.
And her bright white Nike's.
And her tight braids.
Then we went to the concession stands because my old gymnasts were in charge of concessions last night.. and my old gymnasts put Adie's look over the top...
Our little East Side, West Side hoodlum, Adelyn. =)
