I think I subliminally put her in her pink convict outfit today on purpose...

Yeah.. I put her pink convict outfit on her this morning cuz it was a tad cool. And because I JUST got it for her at the resale and it's an 18-24 month outfit and she's already busting out the butt snaps. So I turn my head for one second and hear her giggle in the dinning room...

"why mommy.. it's the COOLEST to climb up on the dinning table and plop a squat."

"Wait.. mommy isn't laughing... there could be time out in my future..."

"Maybe if I duck down real low on the table she won't see me..."

"Or maybe I"ll smile real big and she'll tell me "congratulations on climbing up on that table because I think it's a marvelous idea for a 16 month old that's prone to falling off chairs and getting fat lips to climb on tables!" And really, she went to get her camera so how mad could she be?"

"Guess pretty mad. like going to time-out in my crib mad"

"I'm going to use my super magnificent climbing skills to bust out of this time-out. Because I am wearing my convict outfit today and all. And I'm really good at busting out the butt snaps of my new outfit."

"Mommy didn't think busting out of my crib was a good idea either..."

Back in crib time-out.

"What does she expect? She put me in my pink convict outfit today! It brings the naughty out of me."

ETA:
SINCE she awoke from her ONE HOUR nap (yeah, not bitter about that at all...) she has been determined to climb on the table. She's been in crib time-out numerous times. So this is mommy's solution....

The chair war zone . At least it looks that way.. all the chairs are on their sides AWAY from the table. (And now you call can see that I didn't paint the bottom of the chairs...) Just remember, Adie.. mommy always wins. At least that's what I thought...

So I guess she was rebelling after not being able to have jungle gym time on the table so I go the puter to find this...

Plucked the "B" right off. And the sad part is.. I can't get it back on. =/ It's rather annoying. And I get really excited when I can type an entire sentence without a "B". Dang it.. I used the "B". Dang it again.. quitting now...

Then she was playing beam (dang "B" again...) on the arm of the couch and did a scale (um, I'm totally amusing myself right now because she was falling and kicked her leg back instead of doing a scale) and kicked over my lamp. Hey, it's okay. It was just a wedding present and all. And has a matching other lamp. No need for two, right? Esh...

But she's made up for her convict day by making mommy laugh because every time she walks past our front window...

She say's "Hi!" to the scarecrow in our front planter. (Ignore Wee-wee.. he jus twanted to be inthe picture) And it makes me giggle every time. One time she said, "Hi mamaw!" Thought it was grandma.

You've redeemed yourself, baby girl. Let's just keep these destructive days to a minimum, k?

LOL....:):)
it is so easy to laugh when it is not your child. I feel there will be many falls, bumps and bruises in your future.

:) Have fun...

Love the outfit. I have to say I think the new lamp is decorative. She must have wanted to redecorate.

Oh my, look at her....plopping a squad, ROFL.
I have such a "monster" in the house too, this morning she "painted" the couch with lipstick and mascara.
And just like Rev said, this is only the beginning ;-))

Looks like you had a crazy busy day with your little convict : ) I love how she's trying to bust out of her crib...and have a feeling one day she'll make it! I've been working without a "Z" key for months and it is a bit annoying. Luckily it is not a letter I use a lot : )
