"Who needs boys?"

Darin's new saying since we found out he'd be the daddy of 3 girls is

"who needs boy's"

This saying is always followed by something hilariously done by our little ladies. Had to tell you about a few...

***The other day Adie called Darin into the bathroom.  He thought she needed help with something.. nope, she just had to show him the ginormous turd she had just laid. Darin's response?

"who needs boys?"

followed by,

"Gross."

***We stayed the night at an indoor water park this past July and Adie (whom was not super keen about swimming & putting her head under water) went down every twisting and turning and super fast water slides.  Both of them would float to the stairs at the end of the slide with big ol' smiles smeared on their faces.  Darin's reply?

"who needs boys?"

***Joya's new trick is to climb up on the kitchen counter top and jump off.  The first time she did it I gasped and said, "that is dangerous, Joya!" And Darin replied,

"Awesome, girl!"

She wanted to show you her skills...

***But her fearlessness led to a pretty big ouchie a week and a half ago.. she pulled over one of our solid wood bar stools onto her forehead.  She's a pretty tough cookie so we always know that something hurts when she screams like she did with this tumble.  Here it is right after she fell...

Bout 10 minutes after the fall... she's pretty proud of her bump...

And here it is about a week after. I kept telling myself to get a picture of the double black eyes but by the time I actually got the camera out, the bruises had turned a bit yellow.

Darin reeeeeeally wanted a newborn picture of Emery in his hands because they are so massive. She was 2 weeks old before we got the picture but I'm so glad we did....

So yeah, Darin's sweet, delicate flower little girls aren't afraid of much and love to show off their impressive poop size. It's so fun to watch him with them because I know he wouldn't trade them for anything.

Who needs boys, right?

Indeed, who needs boys? That picture of Emery in Darin's hands is wonderful. You have such a beautiful family, a true blessing.

Looks like someone is too insecure to leave their name.

darcy: love your candid stories and the way you're able to find the humor in life. way to capture the funny, quirky moments, too, because they're the ones you'll remember for always.

anonymous: "your" should be "you're".

Anonymous....Really? You have the freedom to choose not to follow this blog. So sad that you would choose to show YOUR insecurities by attacking this beautiful family. They are truly amazing parents who love God, eachother and their children dearly. Could the same be said of you?

I'm not insecure about having all 4 girls & to anonymous...Darin & Darcy are Anthony but insecure! With girls that gorgeous, the boys will be rushing to their door soon enough! And hopefully, those 3 precious girls will say, "Who needs boys?"

Hey Anonymous...seriously....I mean we all have seen your pathetic attempts to jab at Darcy and clearly it isn't working. I would suggest working on your own self esteem rather than attempting to decrease those of people who actually have them. You seem to pull things out of your rear, cause no where in this blog was there anything pointing at what your comment suggested. MOVE ON!

Dear anonymous,
Ever hear saying, "If u don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything"
Obviously, people in your life haven't done that for you. So sorry.
Hurt people, hurt people.
Jesus loves you. If I know Darcy she has love in her heart for you. But loving people doesn't mean you have to put up w/ their crap.
Jesus can heal all hurts. Cast your cares on Him. Stop throwing them at Darcy.

Who leaves anonymous comments on the sweetest blog of all time? Really pathetic. Poor Joya... our Jackson had a hematoma like that after slipping on the stairs. Did you realize that our kids have the same first initials, in the same order? Crazy! Guess that makes me pathetic. Oh well.

Hey anonymous, who is pathetic here? Darcy, because she is showing the love she and her hubby have for their girls? Or you, who is afraid to show who you really are? I know the answer....

OUCH-E-WAWA! on that big 'ole knot on Joya's head. Funny, I bet it doesn't stop her from doing it all over again! My little sister was that way growing up. Mom always said she was just like having a boy, the way she got hurt, dirty and did it all over again :)

"Anonymous" is probably a frequenter of the Speak Out section in The Paper, too. Too bad you can't block the white noise sometimes, eh?

"Pathetic?" Hardly a term I would use to describe Darcy and her family!

Darcy, your next post should be titled, "Who needs anonymous commenters?"

Seriously, very sad. Lots of jealousy in that heart, which is sadly impacting the quality of life of this anonymous blog stalker and her family. Get help, honey, and leave our Darcy alone!

I wouldn't say "pathetic" or "insecure". I would say Darin and Darcy are proud of the blessings God has given them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with sharing those blessings to those who love your family!

Keep posting Darcy! I love reading your blogs, looking at your pictures, and hearing about your three girls!

Love your blog! Boys and girls are basically the same when you come down to it... blessings from God. I think you and Darin are way strong enough to move on from senseless comments, so I'll leave it at that :) Love your family and the girls' names too! Keep on bloggin'

The love for your children-your 3 girls is very obvious and so is your love for each other! It would be hard for some who don't have that to not be jealous..Looks like annonymous could use all of our prayers to find that kind of love in her heart and life. I agree with Maisie 100% boy or girl they are all blessings from God, and I love your blog!

From a Momma of 3 boys who wanted a girl but as soon as I found out my last was a little boy my heart melted and I wouldn't want it any other way now...God is good!
