Houston, we have a crawler.

So, I started crawling yesterday.

For about a month I have been on all 4's, swaying but for some reason I could never go forward.

Then I learned this new trick...

Mommy calls it the start of a headstand, I call it "trying my hardest to crawl."

Then it happened... I put one hand in front of the other, moved my back knee forward and...
I got closer to mommy! And to daddy! And to the plants.. and the books where I pulled out a bunch to make a mess. Just because I can.
When I find out that mommy's cell phone is behind me, I'll back up and crawl to that too. It's my favorite toy. Last week, mommy forgot to put it on lock and I put it on "car kit" mode. When people called, mommy had to scream into the mouth piece because the caller couldn't hear her. She couldn't figure out how to switch it back for hours. It was awesome.

So yeah, I crawl now.

And mommy's life will never be the same. Today she spent almost the entire day cleaning and baby proofing the house for yours truly. She also put me in the middle of the bed and seconds later looked back at me and found me on daddy's night stand. Yep, I crawled there. Then she almost shut me in the closet before she saw that I was in there. Then a few minutes she almost shut me in the closet door. Crawled there too. After that she almost tripped on me. Gosh, mommy already forgets that I'm mobile now!!

"In fact, I'm crawling away from the puter right now! Come and catch me, mommy!"

YAY! How awesome. And yet, how annoying at times, you'll find. Just wait until she's walking. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Michael and I always say, we couldn't wait until Emma was crawling and then walking, and now there are many times when we wish she couldn't! :)
