Yumo...

Yesterday Adie Grace helped me pot plants. Trying to dress up the new deck.

Put dirt from one pot to the next...

Was having a grand ol' time.

Until she decided to have a little taste of the dirt.

Oh yeah, she doesn't waste her calories on Miricle-Grow dirt.. she chows on Grandma Kathy's garden dirt complete with manure and compost. The good stuff.

She dry-heaved cuz she got a big o' bite full but she didn't learn... this picture was from the FIRST time we had to go back in the house to lean up after we ate dirt. I didn't take a picture of the SECOND time she did it. Maybe it requires puking before we learn how gross something tastes. Dry-heaving doesn't bring the point home.

Silly girl.

And I whipped this up last night. Rebekah and Nichole both inspired me to make a bag! Adie's doesn't have quite enough stuff to justify toting around a diaper bag so I made this toddler bag. It has the COOLEST retro fabric from the inside from the 70's that I got out of my mom's fabric stash.
Made the whole thing for free since I inherited the fabric from mi mama.
My sister made me the "Adelyn" embroidered part with her spiffy sewing machine so "Spanks!" sisser!

I always feel so Proverbs 31-ish after I've sewn.
You know, making the linen garmets and such.
My favorite part of the Proverbs 31 passage is "laughing at the days to come".. not too good at "getting up while it's dark" or "buying a field and using the cash to make a vineyard" but I definitely know how to laugh at the days to come!

Hi!
I love how Adie helped you with your planting and then decided to have a snack along with it! :) Don't worry, Brody eats sand from our sandbox...guess he likes it crunchy! Cute bag too...I wish I was crafty! You look great, by the way!

Someday...when I have something worth scrapbooking (a baby)...I'm coming to you for a lesson. I just love that you will have those pages forever and Adie can look at them! So much more meaningful than just photos or just a little book where you journal the baby stuff!
