I love him.

Pre-Adie blogness I used to write (brag) about my Darin all the time. Since the babe came I've written more about her and all the fun she brings. I want to dedicate this post to my Darin Jay.. the most amazing hubby on the planet.. =) Just want to tell you a few things I love about you, sweets.

***
This is the scene when he comes home every day. Adie and Wee-wee sit at the window and wait for him.. or if they didn't see his truck pull into the drive they come RUNNING from wherever they are in the house to attack them. I love it.. I love that our baby (and doggie) love him so much. And he's SO excited to see them.. riles them up well. =)

He always compliments me. Whether it's my hair in a side pony (he LOVES it!) or what I made for dinner... the boy loves to affirm me. I'm really not that great of a cook and the side pony means I didn't want to do my hair that day, sweetie, but you sure make me feel great!

I NEVER would have guessed how amazing of a father he'd be. I knew he'd be great but seeing him with Adie Grace is just about the cutest thing you'll ever see. They giggle and play and laugh some more. All day long she plays on her cell phone, "Hewoo? Daddy?" Everytime my phone rings she asks, "Daddy?" She longs to be with him. BUT even though he's gone quite a bit with football this time of year.. he's also not afraid to reprimand her. He puts her in time-out quicker than I usually do! Thanks for being the bestest daddy ever, sweetie.

Goodness the man makes a cute baby! Proud to be his baby's mama!

He loves me EXACTLY the way I need to be loved. I seriously don't think God could have paired someone better for me than Darin is.
***
He treats me like a princess. When we go on walks and the doggie poo's.. he WILL NOT let me pick it up. He always says, "Princess' don't pick of poo!" HOW ROMANTIC! hhehehhehe.. He serves me. Always doing things I'd rather not do.. He gets up out of bed when I forget my mouth piece so I don't grit my teeth (again.. romantic!) He's just a gentleman and treats me so, so well.

And last but not least for this post.. I could go on and on... most importantly he's the spiritual leader of our family. I love that on Friday when we went to school to have lunch with him.. sitting in the teacher's lounge he prayed outloud for our meal. He's teaching Adie to not be afraid of showing others that we love Jesus and want to thank Him for providing for us. He's always thinking of new ways for our family to give, serve and share Jesus. He's still preaching his chapels every Friday before the football game.. Darin coordinates a meal (asks churches and such) and then gives the boys a 10-15 min pep talk that corliates that night's game to bible stories. I love that he loves Jesus and isn't afraid to tell his football players about Him. Teaching them that football isn't all that matters..

The other day I was putting his hat away after a game...

and I noticed this...

He has Ephesians 3:12-14 written in the bill of the hat.

"In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory. For this reason I kneel before the Father."

I love you, Darin Jay!
