Yesterday I had a photo shoot with
Tracey's two cutie head boys and I decided to do the shoot in our new bedroom. The walls are freshly (re)painted so now the color doesn't make me want to vomit in my mouth a little bit. Love the way Tracey's boys turned out (check out my slideshow later after I remember to ask her permission to put them on there!!) so I got the idea to take some of Adie, Darin and I. This way you can see the new blue AND see the pictures that will go up on our chocolate walls. My genius idea to do some and hang them so that we can bring some blue color over to the brown walls and they'll match exactly. Somedays I'm smart. =)

STEPHANIE: Glad you are a reader and don't you just love a KA post? Man I love that girl!!! Answer to your question about my future monogram over our bed in the new room. I got the idea from Pottery Barn as seen here....
I was planning on doing the letters myself and either borrowing an overhead projector from Darin's school and tracing it up on the wall and doing it free hand BUT we decided to do textured walls in our bedroom so I may have to order them from Upper Case Living now because I hear their wall rub on's go on textured walls. But I still may be cheap and do the overhead projector thing. And it's basically free and I'm super thrifty like that. And I'd use our brown paint that would match o-so-perfectly. I've always planned on doing the squares with tape. My buddy Hanni did her daughter's name over her crib with scrapbook paper and it was SUPER cute until she used a humidifier and they peeled off the wall. =/ So she warned me about that. =)

I had an idea for your monograms over your bed in your room. Do you have a Cricut for scrapbooking? Did you know you can use that and cut stuff our of vinyl to put on walls and such? If you do not have a Cricut, I have one that fits a
12X12 sheet or a 12x24 sheet of paper or vinyl. If you don't know what I am talking about, I think they have something on their website that shows what all you can do with a Cricut. www.cricut.com. Just an idea... I would think the vinyl would stick to textured walls, but I'm not sure. Love the picture of you three. Emily Riegsecker

Darce - your family is SO beautiful. Your blue eyes all sparkle with that awesome colored background. Love it! Your new room sounds so great! You're inspiring me for when we move into a bigger house and my inner interior decorator comes out. :) I think I'm Genevieve Gorder on the inside. Hee hee. Can't wait to see the room progress. And, you gotta get another belly pic up there soon. You are the cutest prego person EVER!
