Growing like a weed...

You all think I'm going to do a post about my growing baby, aren't ya? That is what the title of this post would suggest.

But I'm not.

Even though she is.

(Growing like a weed)

This post is about my landscaping.

I think I told ya all early in the summer that I was excited about landscaping around our new addition. Well, that chore is happily crossed off the "things to do this summer" list. I had some plants and flowers around the exterior of the house the I dug up and replanted in my new landscaping in June. Two plants being the massive plants you see below... with the hydrangea plant in the middle...

In June they were tiny little plants and I couldn't remember what flower they were last year. So I was excited to dig them up and transport them with a big surprise right about this time of year to what flower they actually are. Darin and I have had a few discussions on what we think they might be.

Oh.. the suspense.

And then it's almost September and we are STILL wondering if they are going to flower.

Rewind to the other day while I was on my walk I stroll by a corn-field. I notice a rather large weed growing by the stalks and realize that hmmff. That big ol' non flowering weed looks an aweful lot like the 2 plants I'm nurturing in my back landscaping.

I'm pretty sure I dug up, transported, replanted and watered 2 rather large non-flowering weeds in my landscaping for the last 3 months.

Unless any of you can "name that plant" for me.. I'm going to crown myself the new Miss Brown Thumb USA!

Of course I can't do a post with out pictures of my girls!!!

Just lounging around the other day looking all cute. =)

And the verdict is still out on whether or not I'm going to create a photography blog.. I had a record 13 shoots in August and don't want to bore you guys with my photography on this blog all the time.. I'll let you know when it's up and running.

Adie Grace is soooo beautiful! I love her skin color and her hair. She reminds me of a little girl I had in my class last year. He name was Rylah and she was 4years old:) So DARLING!!!!! So is the baby-baby ;)

I don't think you need to create a separate blog just for your photography! This is your own personal blog...and photography is your thing. By all means, only create it if YOU want to for your business. But not becuz you think you are "boring" us! It doesn't bother me to see you post your shoots. And if someone doesn't want to take the time to look at them, then they don't have to! Anyway, I just saw into the line "don't want to bore you guys" & wanted to let you know don't create one becuz of your readers. Maybe I read into it wrong! If so, sorry! See ya tomorrow night @ the Resale!

ha ha! those look like weeds to me too. can't believe you transplanted them too, very funny! I think I thought something similar was a plant in the garden because two were in a row of potato plants, them my mother-in-law told me they were weeds. they're deceiving!

adorable picture of your girlies :)

looks like pokeweed. you'll want to get rid of it (poisonous berries) ... get as much root as you can (maybe dig rather than pull), they're notorious for coming back if you don't get 'em good.
