Football season is in full swing here in the Holsopple household! If we aren't at a varsity game on Friday night or a freshman game (Darin coaches freshmen) on Thursday nights, we are watching it on TV. I was even watching Game Day on ESPN last Saturday morning and Darin wasn't even home. He's officially converted me to a football lover.
Thought I would bring along the ol' camera to the last 2 varsity games and show you what our football life is like. First of all we tailgate...
Yes, those are steak, chicken and shrimp cabobs. Wogoman's don't mess around at these tailgates!
My two good friends.. Melissa and Lindsay...
And another great friend, Shelly. Don't you love James' attire? He had to dress like a coach.. complete with headphones just like Darin.
Oh, and my girlies weren't at the first game. My mother-in-law offered to keep them so and even had them stay the night at her place. I actually got to watch the game!
We get into the game and all the kids find a dirt pile and end up looking like this...
The above picture cracks me up because I told Lauren and Macy to hug each other for the picture.. hands above their ears is what I got. Close enough, right?
The below pics are pictures from last weeks game. Where I didn't get to watch the game because my little people were there! We always sit on a hill by the field where there's grass for the kids to run.
And this is hilarious.. had a great view of the kids and the game and this random dude sat down right in front of us. Joya was determined to make him a friend before the night was over...
And the kids didn't watch ANY of the game, right? What did they sit down and watch every second of?
Marching band at half time, but of course. =)
And what might Darin be doing as my girls watch the band and I don't watch the game? he's up on the announcers box helping with plays.
And this pictures is upstairs in our living room but you should see Darin's set up in the basement. We have a projector that projects the #1 game he wants to watch on the wall.. it's about 7 foot by 7 foot. The players are seriously life size. Then he's got another good sized TV beside the projector displaying another game. And you think 2 tv's isn't enough? Oh yes.. another 19" one that pulls out of the cabinet for game #3 that he wants to watch. It looks like a sports bar without the bar. Cracks me up. But I don't mind the set up on Monday nights when I wanna watch the Bachelor Pad and he wants to watch Monday Night Football. And something about the setup that the Bachelor Pad has to be on the projector. Tenley's weekly tears are like the size of a quarter. Crazy awesome. =)
Anyway, football is our life right now!
