Daddy Daughter Dance..

Last Friday night my hubby took another girl out on a date...

Adie, that is. =)

Darin's been looking forward to taking Adie to our church's annual Daddy Daughter Dance for 3 years now.  Adie looked forward to it for about a week calling it the "Daddy Daisy Daughter Dance."  Not sure where the "daisy" came from but it was cute to hear her say it!

We wanted to wait until she was old enough to enjoy it (and so Darin wouldn't just chase a toddler around the entire time).

Adie picked out a new dress at Target and I whipped up a hair thing for her.. we headed outside for a few pictures outdoors and this is what we got...

Darin saying, "Do you really want us to take our jackets off?" and this frigid look on Adie's face.

Needless to say this is the only picture I got of them and we got back in the van and drove home. =)  Snapped this picture...

And Darin didn't take Joya this year because he knew he'd spend his entire night chasing her and this is what happened...

she had a very rough night because she knew her daddy and Adie went somewhere special without her. =(  Darin's planning a special Daddy/Joya date this weekend for her. We thought she was too young to catch on.. we were totally wrong. =(

They got to the dance..

And Adie found her good friends Lauren and Macy. He got ditched for a bit while they danced and jumped off the stage. He said it reminded him of his senior prom. =/ Minus the stage jumping.. just the ditching part. =)

They had a great time and I love that my hubby finds it so important to date his little girl to show her how a guy should treat her.  She'll never be lacking in attention, love or affirmation from her father, that's for sure!!!

That is so sweet! Adie looks so cute, and the picture with Joya melts my heart the way she is clinging to Daddy!
