The pizza that Jesus gave us

***this blog post has been brought to you by papa smurf.. Darin Jay himself. He asked me if he could write a blog this week after a comment Adie made. Um, but of course!***

God has blessed our family in some pretty crazy ways.  He has given us so much.  He has provided everything from a stove to a hot tub from a sliding glass door to scooters for our girls.  Darcy and I have often been amazed at the way God continues to provide for us.  Someday soon we will give an entire post to the crazy ways that God has provided for us, but today I just want to share one story.  This is special because Adie recognized the provision.

Saturday afternoon we ordered some pizza to be delivered.  It came right on time...but was the wrong pizza.  This order was bigger than ours and was full of delicious specialty pizzas. (The kind we never order)  The delivery guy obviously did not want to make an extra trip back to our house to deliver our smaller order, so they just gave us the bigger order.  I was pretty excited about this and the pizza was enough to give me a little comfort as I waited out the rain delay in the Notre Dame game.  Three hours later, while we were still watching the game, the doorbell rings.  It was once again Papa John's and this time they had our correct order.  When I told the very confused delivery guy what had happened he gave me the extra pizzas for free.

Bottom line, we got three pizzas for free.  The best part of the whole story is that the next day, on the way home from church, Adie declared that for lunch we should eat "the pizza that Jesus gave us."  Darcy and I looked at each other and realized that neither one of us had used that phrase.  She was able to recognize that God was the source of this blessing.

"Father God, thank you for blessing us in so many ways and showing your provision in a way that a 4 year old can understand."

That is such a beautiful post! It brought tears to my eyes. Ok, maybe it has something to do with pregnancy hormones...
