Happy, Happy Friday!!!

Hello, all!! Not too much time to blog.. doing a huge (completely anal retentive) project at work. Just thought I would tell you all to have a FAB weekend!!! I know I will.. Stick It with my girls tonight, cleaning and a date with my hubby planned for tomorrow and Sunday is our first service in the NEW CHURCH BUILDING!!! Wooo-hoooo!!!! So exciting...

One small fun story. So my dad's a electrician. We live by the 2nd largest lake in Indiana, Lake Wawasee. Super cool *Erika* vacations at the lake. My dad called me up on Wednesday and said that he had just turned off the electricity to a home on the lake. He was about sick to his somach because the new owners had paid $1.7 million dollars for the property and home.. and were leveling it to the ground in a few days. WHAT?? Seriously.. the lakers buy perfecly fine homes, tear them down and build mansions. Can you imagine posessing that much money? For a vacation home? Anywho, dad did some research for us and got the dude's phone number that was plowing down the home.. Darin give them a call. Yesterday Darin spent most of the day gutting the home. He took out windows, 12 feet of sliding glass doors, blinds (oh.. not the cheapo mini-blinds we have in our house now, but COOL fabric one's that are completely spotless!), cabinet pulls and my fave, a rought iron screen door. Oh yeah.. we aren't too proud to go into a house and rip out the things we want before it's trashed!! Wait.. I said "we" ripped them out? Yeah, totally meant Darin ripped them out. =) I'm the painter and the "holder".. "Hey Darce, hold this!" That, I can do with quest to remodel homes. =)

I'll leave you with my latest scrap creation. This one is fun.. This came from my "artsy scrapbooking" side... not as neat and tidy as my usual pages. =) Sanded the ol' pictur-oo and didn't sew straight.. GASP!!!

Have a super fab weekend and please.. someone else go watch Stick It so I'm not the only one in my 20's that will have seen the movie!! =/ I have a feeling it's gunna be me, the other 2 coaches and a bunch of teeny-boppers!!!

My dad is a carpenter, so I grew up being a "holder" on the weekends. My parents also have a large amount of "treasure" he finds from houses and cannot get rid of.
Love the 'artzy' page. Quite the artist. Awesome colors.

that is so awesome (the free home reno stuff) but then I am weird that way. I LOVED getting hand-me-down clothes from my older cousins. Hope to see some photos of your home with the "new, old" stuff.
PS. nice to meet you. I found your blog last week and have been reading it faithfully.
