You know you're a mom when...

You know you are a mom when you get to go to the grocery store BY YOURSELF and you see 2 people you know and they ask you how you are and you get a little too giddy telling them:

"I'm great because I am at the grocery store by myself! My 2 month old isn't in my snuggli which puts her head a little too close to my ta-ta's making her think that it's feeding time and my 2 year old isn't opening the unpurchased cottage cheese leaving a trail down the cereal isle! I AM AMAZINGLY GREAT!"

I don't think they were expecting that response.

You know you are a mom when you can sing the Handy Manny theme song, know what tootles are and know that Elmo's World starts at 10:40am every day.

***
You know you are a mom when you don't think about leaving the KY jelly on the bathroom counter because you don't see it as a married people aid anymore.. you see it as hair bow glue for the baby.

***

You know you are a mom when you RUN through the house after you've just pumped the ta-ta's to show off your 6 ounces of boob juice to your husband. He was so proud. =) It was huge because with Adie I was pumping like 1/2 an ounce. I am a milk machine this time around.

You know you are a mom when you want to cry seeing your baby in a flower girl dress knowing that the day will come way too soon when she will be the one in the big white dress walking down the isle to her hubby.

Funny stuff! That would make a great scrap page. I too do the show and tell with the boobie juice. What's up with the KY jelly as hair glue? I have not heard this before. Love Adie in the last dress.

Your post is too funny! We can relate to that stuff! Adie is absolutely beautiful in the flower girl dress! Why is she in 2 different dresses? 2 different weddings?

Awww! Look at Adie! She'll be the cutest flower girl.

I know what you mean about pumping. I had this big ol' baby (9lbs at birth) and I knew he was getting plenty to eat, but any time I'd pump, I'd get like 1/2 an ounce! Weird! I woulda been running thru the house to show off 6 whole ounces too!
