We've decided to do something that we've not done yet with our other girls. We are going to share baby girl #3's name. The thought first came to my mind when Darin announced it at Bible Memory Camp last week to all the campers! HA! I thought, "oh, I guess we're sharing it!"
I had told some family and friends but Darin thought a handful of kids in Iowa needed to know. So it got me thinking.. I really think that the transition to bringing home our 3rd baby will go better for my older girls if we call her by name and make her a part of the family from the get-go. Call her by name. Let everyone else call her by name.
And the fact that Adie knows and I'm pretty sure she'll tell whoever asks, or doesn't ask. The day after we found out we were pregnant with this baby she went to her Sunday School class and told her teacher that "mommy has a baby in her belly." Yeah, we were like 3 weeks pregnant. =)
She gets the blurting-secrets gene from her daddy. Ok, ok.. or maybe a little bit of me too...
So to make the transition go easier for my girlies and to do things a little differently than we've done before... we are sharing her name.
Bet you all wish I'd stop rambling and just tell you, don't ya?
=)
And her middle name is still out for discussion so I'm not sharing that until we decide.
Or Darin gives into the baby girl name that's been on our list for 3 babies now. =)
No pressure, Babe.
=)
Ok, ok.. her name will be:
Emery
I love it more and more every day. =)
Both of our girls have family names incorporated into them. Adie is Adelyn where the Lyn is for my mama (Linda) and my middle name is Lyn.
Joya is Joya Jae and she is named for her Papa Jim (James) and Darin's middle name is Jay formed from James. We couldn't leave this baby out so she is named after Darin's only living grandpa, Papa Emery. We tossed around the idea of changing up the spelling to Emerie but keep coming back to the way Darin's grandpa spells it.. Emery. Kept it the simple way.

So there you have it! I am absolutely in love with it and can't wait to see my Emery's face for the first time. I'm sure she'll be every bit as beautiful as her name.
Feel free to call her by name cuz Joya and Adie will be too! Joya keeps playing with her baby dolls and walking into the nursery and saying, "Baby Emmie" melts my heart every time. =)
Man this baby is so loved already!

Oh, Darcy! I love that name! Emery was on my list with my last two pregnancies.
I love that Adie is a blurter. I always make sure my kids don't know anything that I don't want everyone to know ;)
